안녕! I’m Katie. ^^

I’m a 17 year old, half Chinese/half Korean who lives in Hawaii. My Korean name is 해은 (Hae Eun) and my Chinese name is Wei Yin. I can speak basic Korean & Japanese and I plan to major in Korean while minoring in music and business in college.

Music is a very large part of my life. I play the violin and guitar the most, but I also play ukulele, viola, piano and drums. Besides playing instruments, I also like to arrange and compose things. Recently I arranged 보고 싶다 (I Miss You) by Kim Bum Soo for my orchestra and I am currently working on Secrets by One Republic. Besides classical music I really enjoy listening to Korean music. I started listening to K-pop back in 2005 when I heard the song Hug by DBSK. I think it’s funny that back then, nobody listened to K-pop and I was trying to get people into it. Now everyone listens to it, and honestly it can get a bit tiring having friends constantly asking me if i’ve listened to a new song. ^^;; As of right now my favorite K-pop group is 2NE1, but I also love Miss A, Big Bang and a few other bands as well.

Some of my hobbies besides music are drawing, photography, writing, reading, nail art and air riflery.

My dream is to one day have a corgi named Ein (like in Cowboy Bebop) and have a cat named Snake (like in animal crossing there’s a bunny named Snake :3). I’m more of a cat person but i think dogs are adorable too.

I’m not a big fan of T.V., but I do watch Prettly Little Liars and Doctor Who. I also enjoy watching anime and asian dramas as well as reading manga. If i’m not on tumblr, i’m probably playing Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts or Pokemon. Those are by far my favorite games.

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, too. :D My Pottermore SN is KnightFeather77. My house preference in order is Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff.
